It’s October 16 that the new high-end Canadian Kobo eReader,
the Forma, will be released. It will directly compete with the Kindle Oasis
with its large 8-inch screen.
Usable in classic or “landscape” format, the Kobo Format has
a very 8-inch screen offering a full HD definition of 1920 x 1440 pixels, a
record for a reader. The big trend is therefore to offer a larger surface area,
while increasing the resolution slider in order to provide optimal reading
comfort.
For haters of the “all touch”, it is equipped with two
physical buttons usable to turn the pages. Ultra thin, it has only a lean 4.2
mm on its main part, while the thickest part displays a small 8.5 mm.
Everything is confined in a box weighing barely 200 grams. For comparison, my
Kindle Voyage displays 180 grams on the scale, for a diagonal of 6 inches,
remember. Will I leave Amazon's reader for the Canadian competitor? I feel
myself gently ...
Completely waterproof, it has the
"ComfortLightPro" display technology allowing you to drastically
reduce the famous "blue lights" that prevent you from diving into the
arms of Morpheus.
Orders will begin on October 16 to expect delivery in late
October, for a price of € 280. I leave you with the video presentation which
will give you a good idea of its design, quite attractive.
