Heleor gives a second life to our vintage radios to transform them into Bluetooth speakers!

Because our grandparents often have old vintage transistor radios that are lost in an attic, Sarah Neron created HELEOR: a young startup Carcassonne which has the ambition to renovate r and modernizes r old radio TSF the 30s to 60 to turn them into useful works of art , and in the era of time to enjoy all our music stored on our smartphones and tablets via Bluetooth. With HELEOR, music is passed on from generation to generation.

The initial idea: dust off these beautiful objects to modernize them!

Founder of HELEOR, Sarah Neron explains how the idea of renovating was born  : My stepfather collects these old radios. When he explained to me that the transmitters would no longer broadcast radios over the long waves, I found it unfortunate that these beautiful objects were relegated to the attic or thrown away. I trained in electronics and my father-in-law passed on his invaluable advice to restore the shine of yesteryear to post offices. ". From this idea was born in 2018 HELEOR, a young company from Carcassonne which renovates these old vintage radios with current technologies such as Bluetooth to listen to all the music that we have on our smartphones and tablets, with a “vintage” touch in addition, always trendy.

Take your vintage radio out of the attic to have it renovated at HELEOR:

To breathe new life into your TSF radio, simply send it (after acceptance of the estimate for renovation) to HELEOR. 20 to 30 days will then be enough for the company to transform them into living works of art and a Bluetooth speaker with unique charm: a combination of a design so attractive from the past with current technologies to enjoy all our music.

Once your product has been sent, HELEOR operates the transformation in its workshop in several stages:

  • The device is emptied of its electronics, and the components given to collectors.
  • A HELEOR electronic module is added. This consists of a 50W amplifier with a Bluetooth connection and Mini-Jack to facilitate music playback.
  • The sound of each station is optimized through the integration, depending on the size of the product, of a 40 Watt or 100 Watt speaker. The acoustic insulation is also reinforced with cellular foam.
  • On the design side, the body is renovated (cleaning, sanding and varnishing) respecting the material, using eco-friendly products and methods. The fabrics are cleaned and the button on the front returns to its primary function of switching on and adjusting the volume. The backlight is also integrated into the dial for a “wow” effect.
  • Finally, a back plate with the connectors and the HELEOR logo is added to the back. Each plate is numbered to make it unique.

Each station, which has benefited from HELEOR's know-how, can once again proudly take its place in the living room to broadcast music for the whole family . It is also possible to even further customize the device with a new shade or burning the dial to change the tissues to give the colors of the box and buttons .. . to get THE “modernized” vintage radio you've been dreaming of!
